FF series. SMT series including Persona and Devil Survivor, Star Ocean series, Tales series, Dragon Quest series, Monster Hunter series, Disgaea series, Eterian Odyssey series.
the ones in italic are not turn based like FF (disgaea is but tactical).
most of these are long-running series. new turn-based JRPGs sucks because most of them are too short or too plain.
Whoa someone here plays Star Ocean? Nice! FFVII, VIII, and IX are my favorite, though VII takes the cake for storyline. Folks just don't make original J-RPG anymore, gone are the days of original and epic VGM with an actual storyline.
