Auction rules doesn't say that auction gonna end after 24 hour from when it was started. It will end after the last bid made

No need to worry. That's only for stable bidding because of continuous fluctuation in bitcoin price
You don't have to pay in dollars. The amount will be calculated at the time of payment

Example : If the bitcoin price is at $400 and your bid is $5. Then you need to pay 0.0125BTC at the time of payment
