Considering the fact that all we know about the world might be also bull* with a certain probability I don't see how is that different from what is written in any of the religious books. So if someone will start a new religion I don't think we really have a right to state "All he's saying is a bull*".

The first thing you need to recognize is, you are your own religion. Now all you have to do is formalize it to get followers.

If you don't recognize that the things you value as sacred are important, you will not be able to convince followers.

If you feel you need a personal religion more dynamic than what you believe right now, you better change your beliefs before you start promoting.

If you make as your promoted religion something you don't believe in, people will see through you... maybe not at first, but sooner or later. Some of them will not be happy with you. Some might be downright antagonistic.
