The Flux Party is using bitcoin as a model to replace what they say is an outdated Australian political system.
The Flux Party says its goal is to elect six senators. They will propose no policies and will not follow their consciences, but will support or block legislation at the direction of their members, who can swap or trade their votes on every bill online.
The party has been founded by Max Kaye, a software developer and blockchain consultant, and Nathan Spataro, also with a background in IT and Bitcoin. They don’t just see bitcoin as an alternative financial system, but consider it as the missing link between representative democracy and Democracy 2.0.
