Hello,

How do you buy/sell BTC LOCALLY?

BUYING:
Is there an app for BTC? Like... we meet in person... and I give the guy cash and ask him to send btc via phone/text etc?

SELLING:
I wanted to receive "CASH"... HOW TO MAKE SURE that the cash is not fake money? Is there any currency that is as good as cash but secured?

Now another bad situation is... when the guy whom I am about to meet has a gun... well... he can probably take my btc if im selling or my cash if im buying...?

so any hints or ideas how to do these???

I know about localbitcoins.com and I have seen a lot of people trying to buy/sell their BTC to me... but I have not responded as I do not know how to deal with it safely...

Thanks for any help guys...

I've had someone monitor my BTC wallet and text me after the first confirmation when buying. We just sipped coffee and discussed cryptos for 20mins.

Meet in a public place during peak hours. Be obvious about it, you'll be fine.

Choose a busy place like Starbucks or McDonald's with WiFi access for small to moderate amounts. Choose a moderately busy bank for bigger amounts.

In all cases, bring your own laptop or have someone check the blockchain for you.

Make a blockchain.info wallet, send funds to blockchain if you have a smartphone download the blockchain ap and all you have to do is log into the blocchain hit receive they scan a barcode that pops on your screen and coins are sent. If they rob you they only get access to your blockchain wallet, and not your laptop too.
