I hope some thought is being given to the Search facility, 'smart' searching and so on. The facility to search a specific sub forum/topic/phrase with adjustable parameters for time, popularity and screening by member name and rank I would find useful.
Is there any way to get an insight into what's happening in this regard?

Afaik, the search engine is being developed right now. Maybe wangbus could give us some details.

Not sure about rank, but a full text search is being developed at the moment. We'll probably have a stress test of it soon.
