No i have no comment on this. Anyone can check coin source and comment if the find something they dont like https://github.com/AquariusNetwork/ARC.
I can only guess that heuristic detection mechanisms at AhnLab are not pleased with cryptocurrency wallets in general.

I also randomly selected a few scrypt based altcoins out there just now and i didnt find not one that doesnt have at least 1or2 flags on VirusTotal.com.

Considering the wallets where recompiled less than 24 hours ago i can only specualate that it is a reputation based flag.

Thank you.

Most altcoin windows wallets give false positives on some AV scanners.

Nothing new here. Usually it is the integrated miner causing the flag...

Looks like the next bitcoin in making, I'll mine some. Dev you probably have some big plans for this? You should at least add the links to pools to the OP.

Hi @anticlimax The old ARC blockchain has been a taken offline as the coin had an issue with blockhalving. The premine was ment as a giveaway but that is out now.
The new PoW/PoS ARC is however not premined. Genesis Block   2016-02-18 09:32:06

If there are only 10k blocks with 100 coins reward there will be 1M coins in existence after PoW phase is over, not 42M as stated in the OP. There is also something else.

@MissCrypto "Next bitcoin in making" Nice Smiley ARC is no way about competing with any crypto currency, for now its a blockchain ledger. Next steps are electrum wallets for android/ios.

A BitcoinTalk community member was so kind to setup a pool https://pool.mn/arc .

Thank you for your contribution. Have a nice sunny sunday.

I think the explorer is lagging behind on the money supply, everytime I checked it was less than my node is reporting, but it is still increasing nonetheless. This is more a question for blockexperts.com than the dev. And from my point of view is a non-issue.

About the 42M.

It doesnt say anywhere that the PoW phase will produce 42M. That amount will be reached over time with 1% PoS. When that number is reached, Pos miners will only collect the fees and no new coins will be created.

The PoW phase will produce approximately 1M coins. But that number will be lower because there are already POS blocks being mined which do not recieve the 100 coin reward.

So PoW stops at block height 10000, but since there will also be PoS blocks contributing to the height, the amount of coins in existence when PoW stops will be less than 1 milion.

Hope this answers your question.

So if we assume that PoW phase will be with exactly 1M coins in existence and PoS interest is exactly 1%, then it would take about 4100 years for all the coins to be mined! Grin

Yeah. Not to mention that if the PoS kicks after 10k blocks there will be probably about ~600k coins in circulation. I am Aquarius so will mine it for a bit and see what happens. Smiley

A BitcoinTalk community member was so kind to setup a pool https://pool.mn/arc .
I meant that you should include the links to the pools in the first post so that people can easily find them instead of searching trough the thread.

Dear ARC supporters. Thank you all for a very warm welcome to the brand new cryptocurrency ledger AquariusCoin.

Appologies for the lack of updates but rest ashure we are moving forward. The current priority is seting up electrum servers for mobile wallets.

We are happy to inform you that the network is stable and PoS blocks are running smoothly. A stable node network of 20plus devices is fully operational.

Stay tuned for bounties and dont forget to follow us on twitter https://twitter.com/ArcCoin.

So, no Trojans here?

Hi Joshua.

Here are fresh scans of windows QT wallet, linux QT wallet and linux daemon.

https://www.virustotal.com/sl/file/90fa15f41ef02dde70c383fc15f729d649b86f7e92b3cf357c675fb2114d1ad9/analysis/1456682935/
https://www.virustotal.com/sl/file/f75cfa7de31f60b3c9f9b978450a1b6c61102b5b39cbebc8ca5cdc42daada5b1/analysis/1456682954/

That one detection by AhnLab is clearly a false possitive.

All wallets have also been scanned by Herdprotect cloud http://www.herdprotect.com/  (compilation of 68 AV scanners) and considered safe.

Hope i have cleared any doubts about the ARC wallets.

Make shure you download wallets from our official website. http://aquariuscoin.com/wallet-download/ or http://aquariuscoin.com/files/

Thank you.

Yeah. Not to mention that if the PoS kicks after 10k blocks there will be probably about ~600k coins in circulation. I am Aquarius so will mine it for a bit and see what happens. Smiley

28.2.2016 Current total ARC 558975

Theoretical first year stake 5589

1y: 56464 Total ARC supply

Estimate how long will ARC blocks stake to max coin supply of 42 million ARC.

I belive its a little too early to call it a shit coin.

Have a great day.

WTS 70k ARC

Hi Gambino.

How much you are you asking for the 70k ARC (just curious). You are more than welcome to gives us some time to get the coin listed on popular exchanges.

You are more than welcome to honour ARC with a vote https://c-cex.com/?id=vote&coin=arc

Please do keep in mind that we have no intention of droping the project as most of you have already figured it out that the PoS lifespan of ARC goes beyond the
future generations and we plan to keep the network alive for "all eternity" and i really dont care if some people think this is a pump and dump /shit coin.

Our job is to keep the node network online and to never stop developing the services that will reside on the AquariusCoin ledger.

Everything else is up to the market to decide.

Thank you for your trust.

I'm ready to sell them for 2 BTC (as i need to cover some urgent bills)
do not forget that this is 12.5% of current coin supply

at this price the market capitalization would be only 16 BTCs

I would be more than happy to help you out but if i buy out your PoW coins now thats 2BTC out of the development fund.

I can however try to speed up the process of listing the coin on Yobit but its still up to the market to decide if they choose to buy the coin.

Here is a proposition that has nothing to do with the 70k ARC you have from PoW. If your skillset can compile a Mac wallet there is 25$ in BTC wating for you.

Please try to reply asap as this compile-ing was ment to be part of a bounty that will be annoounced in the next 24h.

Let me know!

No worries. pnoch will msg me with link to the wallet + BTC address for the bounty once he is ready and I will PM you.

P.S. BTW imho you should consider using http://chainz.cryptoid.info/ as the main block explorer for the coin. Many famous coins are using it. It is the best I have seen and his owner fairglu is a very good guy.

I think its to generate a grater volume of ARC, the PoW distribution fell short because of all the PoS blocks...

Might be a good idea also to encourage more nodes on the network.

As much as the idea of an almost eternal blockchain sounds its kinda insane to have an elevator pitch that includes "Max coin supply of 42Mil will be reached in roughly 7000+ years".

I have been told to have a futuristic mind, but the idea is still scifi even in the Age of Aquarius, or is it?

Why not halve the percentage? Bump it to 5% then cut it in half every so many blocks or years.

HAHA! That actually might be a brilliant idea. Contacting websites, which are making personal horoscopes to accept ARC as a payment. Smiley

Yesterday the dev post @ twitter that there will be a hard fork at block 60000.
I hoping that something more interesting than changing the interest % will come.

Hi all rest ashure we are still here. Regarding the planned fork at block 60k it has been moved to block 70k as the time frame was too short and proper testing was done last week.

Changes:
-block reward fork (block 70000) 6% per year plus fixed stake reward of 1 ARC (halving every 5 years)
-minor GUI updates
-add additional fixed seed nodes
-change max block size limit

Wallets will be recompiled this week and posted on ws.

Have a great week everyone.

I'm not sure what you are asking for? I must say that I like how the dev is acting thus far!
- He said that he does not want to rush things and that is how one true cryptocurrency should be developed.
- He invested his own money (no matter how much), without asking you for anything.
- He talks with kind and positive manner.
- He obviously updated source on github and then posted here, on Twitter and on Facebook.

And what is the support, which he receives from the community or "investors"? Here it is - plain and stupid decision!

Thanks to @spartak_t from team FailCoin , AquariusCoin ANN looks much better now. Its almost impossible to belive how powerfull the community is.

Thank you spartak Smiley-

To give you some updates on ARC i decided to pull the plug on the current social network at http://aquarius.network, but no worries i am not killing the concept but the platform is not suitable at all for the features i was looking to integrate.

The new social network platform is much more flexible and features all the things i had in mind. Its gonna be a costly venture to licence it and keep it running, but this is for shure not gonna stop me.

You all have a great day and appologies for being such a quiet creature. I preffer to speak when i have something to show.

I've noticed that he is working on this -> https://aquariuscoin.com/network/
I think that his strategy is to be quiet, while making some services for ARC.
I'm sure that, if he announce all the plans, there will be good guys, which will help him and will make bigger demand much faster.

PS if someone want to sell i'm ready to pay 200 satoshi per coin

Rest ahure i am still here and aint going anywhere. Very busy days but its all good.

Hopefully if all goes well ARC will have a private social network with integrated payment system.

Please understand that this is a very budget intensive project but i will do my best to deliver it in a timelly manner.

Thank you for your patience and trust!

PS: You may have noticed that ARC wallets on Yobit are in maintenance. I am looking into this with Yobit! They are most likelly just updateing the code from the fork.

Hi Olegcho

Thank you for your comment.  Please understand that i am financing all this myself and as you already know by now the social network base is Boonex/Dolphin. Not many devs out there that can cought up a cryptocurrency wallet plugin/module overnight. To be honest april/may are very hard on my wallets so i am in no possiton to be throwing money around without priorities.  As i never had any ICO/crowdsale..... and similar fundrasing, kickstarter shit like most of the established coins today have had you will all require some patience with me. Its not what you want to hear most likelly but its the truth.  Getting 20M of VC seed would be the easy way and it would get everything in mind done in couple of weeks but i dont belive in that VC fuding crap and i rather take it slow and real than to play around with other peoples money.

I will redirect aquarius.network to https://aquariuscoin.com/network/ (feel free to use the Dolphin installation if you desire its a fully functional SN but for now no commericial licence as the decision if host i myself or as a service is not yet final).

Thank you for your time and patience.

What's up dev? Are you still working on the aquarius network?
As you spend money for hosting, domains, block explorers, mining and a lots of time for the sites and coin will be bad just to leave it.
The coin's network works very smooth and block is generated every minute and as i see there are 19 active nodes currently.
Share your plans and be more active here, please

This coin is lucky enough to have a maintenance, with tons of coins on Yobit "maintenance" will take forever for most of them.

I have notified ARC dev. on what happened, but he's abroad and it looks like he can't log on the forum right now. Anyway, ARC wallet on YoBit is finally online, but I can't test it since I am syncing my wallet.

Thank you all cryptocommunity friends for your support and patience so far. Taking baby steps but all that matters is the destination.

Today is 201 days since ARC genesis blocks and i am proud so say proof of stake network is running very reliable so far and here is something a never do in crypto space there will something so show before the year is ower.

Greetings from Poland.

Have a great day and finest regards from Slovenia.

I found that ARC in C-Cex voting list isn't AquariusCoin.
Also I would like to ask, does anyone known how long is the summer in Slovenia?

Hi all yes there is a mess on C-cex. They added ARC - ArticCoin or to refraze replaced AquariusCoin with ArticCoin but all the free and paid votes along with the bitcoin address (for paid votes) is the same it was for AquariusCoin.

I am in the process of clearing things up with C-cex. Looks like AquriusCoin (ARC) will be changing ticker, most likely to ARCO.

Its the right thing to do since ArticCoin did in fact announce first, regardless of the 1 year zero activity on BCT for what any reasonable person would say a dead project. But regardless they claimed the ticker ARC first so i will adapt.

The AquariusCoin blockchain is however not affected by the ticker change as the wallet addresses will remain the same so its essentially just cosmetic work.

Cosmetic changes to the QT wallets will be done as soon as possible along with notification to any hosted services like blockexplorer.

I have no idea however how C-cex plans to handle the split of votes as right now all the votes previously sent  to AquariusCoin are accredited to ArcticCoin.

Will keep you updated on the subject and i will be soon be moving this topic to a new one as this BCT account was opened before i remmembered i had an existing BCT account from some time ago.

Thank you all for your past and future support.

Hi @gambino please read my last comment (just now) . Yes C-cex made a little mess. Trying to get it resolved (C-cex support is actually quite responsive).
A lot of talented coders are super busy (you can try to get one yourself Smiley - best of luck).

I am not just involved with my coin i am trying my best to be a full time IT guy, having a small IT company, being a family and at the same time help pust cryptocurrency, bitcoin  and blockchain tech forward so if you try to squeeze all of that into a normal persons weekly calendar you will end up asking me if i even sleep or if i am even a human Smiley.

Safe to say PoS network is stable and working smooth and Yobit finally udpated the wallet so you all have a choice now what to do with your ARC (to be ARCOs).

Again thank you for your support and for what is worth "faith".

Since the mess with C-cex overwriting ARC on  the voting platform with ArticCoin that claimed/announced the ARC ticker before AquariusCoin i got word (ticket) from C-cex admins that they will refund all AquariusCoin votes sent to https://blockchain.info/address/12LPEoXicYHUpn3HN75X9uUxR2LN426yt7 if they recieve a signed message from the wallet that sent the votes.

If you can sign the message with your wallet then sent the signed message to support or post it here and i will sent it in a batch https://c-cex.com/?id=support.

My votes are already lost (at least the satoshi votes) since Copay doesnt support message signing within the wallet app.

I am confident that C-cex could have handled this differently but they call the shots but i guess they dont really care about people using their exchange. "lesson learned".

Best regard to all.

Do not focus on exchanges ... when the time comes they will add aquariuscoin.
copy, paste, change name and ticker, make website and pay for block explorer... this is not enough
let's focus on real use... there isn't even one service which you can get with ARCO, so why you need exchange

No worries @Olegcho  i am not. I am not focusing on exchanges for personal reasons but simply because the community demands it and if there is no market at all, then people dont even consider a project like this as an actuall cryptocurrency, if the tokens dont have any market value at all.

For the record last months since summertime i was saving funds for a dedicated server and its now finally live. Jup its a real beast and it will serve well for many future work, The choice of not going into the cloud are mine alone and since i am an IT guy for more than 2 decades i believe i made the right choice with this.

Last week i put in place also a powerfull router/firewall as a cant really have a 40$ home router taking care of the routing for mission critical systems like electum..... . All that will serve as the centralized part of the infrastructure to develop front end services on top of the ARCO blockchain. This ticker rebranding is just an annoying thing at the moment but i still have to deal with it and its better now that later when it will be more frustrating change-ing everything from ARC to ARCO.

Again i would like to note that every single aspect up to date  was financed by me alone and it was not pocket change that i can quarantee since i am a simple wage slave with a family of two kids.

I am however considering having some sort of ICO or similar since the costs of infrastructure and development will only rise in the future (i would appreciate some feedback on this idea, regardless of me being a stuborn aquarian that likes to do everything alone Smiley )

Thank you for your post Olegcho appreciated as always.

Best of everything to everyone and dont forget to brace yourself. The economy is on the verge of a major shitstorm.

I must say that I know who the developer is and he's a really nice and honest guy. He is even an important Bitcoin ambassador in his country. But I did made him a lot of remarks about ARC's development. That doesn't mean he will not support it though. Most of the people here already forgot what is a cryptocurrency. If he receives more support from holders (and even from guys who are interested in profits, because ARC is dirty cheap now), then things could look a lot different.

Anyways, you can always count on me, bud. You know where to reach me if you need anything. Smiley

ARC ticker changed to ARCO. Here is the release https://github.com/AquariusNetwork/ARCO/releases/tag/1.1.1.

No need to redownload the blockchain. Only replace your current wallet executable. The current release only takes care of the ticker change and logo change.

In fact you really dont have to do anything if you are fine with your tx/rx saying ARC was sent and ARC logo in QT wallet stays old.

But do note that form now on AquariusCoin official ticker is ARCO.

Ticker rebranding was performed to avoid any future issues/conflicts with ArcticCoin and sometime soon ArcadeCity will have to deal with the same thing as they named their ridesharing token ARC Smiley.

If someone has the time and will to compile the ARCO for MacOSX there is a humble tip ready.

Thank you all AquariusCoin supporters for your time and patience.

PS: This thread will be soon move to a new one as i really dont need/want to have two BCT accounts (i opened this acc as i forgot i have a older one i never used before).

Greetings to all your cryptonians.

arc on poswallet will be  delisting, this mean arc dead coin and yobit is manipulating rate to support arc

You do understand that PoSwWallet delisted like 92% of altcoins and you do understand why they where delisted. Because their revenue model was not ok and they had more expenses with infrastructure than revenue.

If you think one service removing a coin makes a coin dead you really need to learn more about cryptoworld.

Regarding the exchange you are reffering to. Exchanges can do what they want, i am not affilated with Yobit and i have zero influence how they treat ARCO. If you dont like Yobit go trade on Cryptopia or CryptoDAO.
