I doubt, if his earnings from Bitcoin will be higher than the advertisement income he will be receiving via YouTube. How does he manage instant payments for content providers? { 0 confirmations or off-chain payments? } It would be a pity if you have to pay for Bitcoin related videos this early in the game.  Adoption will not increase, if people have to pay for Bitcoin information. |

In order for the micro payment to be successful, we need to increase the block size, otherwise, the fee is too high. |

Adoption will not increase, if people have to pay for Bitcoin information. The earnings from his advertisments will always be higher but it can be a nice bonus for him if he collects like $5 to $10 per video. And it might make people interesting and maybe even search for information about Bitcoin. Every bit of help is good. |

I want to be paid directly to my personal wallet, not some data collecting infrastructure bullshit. I hope we can have LN soon so we can be paid directly to our wallets in a decentralized way. |

Oh dear! So many video clips on youtube are rubbish, that I don't think I would be prepared to pay for any of them without watching them first. This payment system must knock the view count substantially, and surely that would push him down in the Youtube rankings.

I like the implementation! No BS, just scan, pay, then watch. The cool thing is that I think something like this would even work on a TV. I would love a pay-per-view streaming service. No memberships or fuss, just pay and watch. Good idea, but annoying that you have to use Coinbase specifically 1 Upload your video

It could be positive because more people decide to adopt, and share with other people so! |

Originally, we built our platform on Mycelium and Hive…both open source wallets. That caused a lot of problems. For example, Hive stopped being developed. And, Mycelium Android works totally differently than Mycelium iOS (different dev teams). Every wallet out there works in their own unique way internally. It's impossible to support them all, so we went with the simple solution so we can focus on the actual media distribution platform rather than spending all our time troubleshooting bitcoin wallets. |

The types of people who subscribe to youtube vids are younglings in the main. That's a generation accustomed to getting most of their media for free. I really can't see micropayments ever working in this type of scenario. Most are going to shop elsewhere.
