The price of Etheruem is still higher than a month ago. Why do you say it is in the dumping phase now?

I would say for now it's clearly Ethereum. I'm not a bagholder and have some doubts about the concept, but it seems to be, by far, the most accepted altcoin idea in the cryptocurrency sphere and the one with most momentum. It may be the "fiasco of 2017" though, although I expect their momentum to last at least for one year more.

Then we have some challengers like NEM and Lisk. I would also place Monero in this group, as it has grown in a very solid manner. I think all these three coins are way superior to Waves. Waves tries too hard to please the financial world, enabling easy scams with their hidden order books.

Bitcoin is not altcoin   ,and as you mentioned ETH was the altcoin of 2015 ,  i think WAVES will be alt-coin of 2016

Altcoin 2016 for me is CBX it will much better than new altcoins like ethereum dao waves.. because cbx is one of  the old project and need more adoption..
