I was currently asking myself what was the difference between the new R3CEV & Ripple ? R3CEV isn't working on a blockchain making easier and cheaper exchange Inter and Intra-banks as did Ripple?  Roll Eyes

Any idea why this news has not been translated in Ripple's value in markets?

Same reason as for ETH. Banks will not buy XRP ETH or any coin. They will run all on a private ledger using private miner all secured by themselfes.

First of all, Ripple provide two main services, only one of them needing the use of XRP (related to exchange rate issues).
Moreover, if bank have private blockchain why would they use private miner? are you really thinking that each bank is going to create its own cryptocurrency that needs to be mined? Come on they will just use blockchain to make FIAT transfers and record quicker/cheaper (amongst other benefits)... (not willing to speak about ETH that has not even targeted banks)
