The can is also weighted appropriately. Literally this looks and feels JUST like its full of dog food-but I promise its not.

It will hold up to natural wear like any sealed can of food would. When you twist the bottom on the seal is watertight. I am not sure how the average can of food holds up to natural wear, but that is what you would be dealing with with this.
