I would also recommend these 2. I've tried most of them out for Android and I strongly preferred Mycelium.
Can't tell much about apps from the Apple store, but breadwallet is consistently suggested over others.

Blockchain is a wallet where you don't truly control your private keys (they are shared with the service). It opens up the possibility of getting robbed by the service, I avoid it.

It can depend on you smartphone, breadwallet is a good one for the iphone, but it is unavailable on android as far as i know, blockchain.info app is good for small amount of bitcoin that you spend regularly, i would never recommend putting large amounts of bitcoin on any mobile wallet.

Make sure to make backups, and try not to have to many bitcoins on your phone because it can get stolen.

If you already have an Electrum wallet on your pc you can download the android app (in beta) from their site. That way you can access your wallet from your pc too Smiley

I use the app just called "bitcoin wallet" for android. I like it a lot and you hold the private keys.

If reading QR codes is the only concern, you may simply use the Android code scanner right ?Does the same thing anyway.I would recommend downloading a wallet for your phone in case you are planning to do bitcoin transactions from them.Although there are various wallets available ,I would recommend using blockchain.info's android wallet ,have been using it for months without any troubles.

Most Bitcoin wallet apps can scan QR codes easily. Bitcoin Core's app reads them just fine. You might want to google questions like this before posting. It's just good ethics.

Signatures? How about learning a skill... I don't care either way. Everybody has to make a living somehow.
