Did you ever did something heroic in your life?
Save someone's life or help someone in trouble?
Are you a hero?

You will be a here when your activity reaches at least....

of, forget.

The real world has not much space for heroism.

You know, you may die and people won't give a damn about your death

Hero in real life is someone who is able to give happy life to people around him.

But maybe I was a bit hero in high school. In my school there was terrible bulliing going on. I wasnt bullied because I was tall and strong, but I always sided with weak kids that were bullied and I physically defended them, most of the time against multiple attackers. I didnt always win, but I felt good about myself.

I once worked on the beach as a lifeguard, but I never really saved anyone per se.

However I once towed a famous local drunk called "Bongo Pete" in from the sea as he thought it would be fun to get drunk and take his £10 inflatable dinghy out in an offshore wind. I also called the coastguard to help an idiot stuck on a cliff. He was wearing an Iron Maiden T-shirt and his name was Don Turner from Telford.  Cheesy

I assume the Dinghy + "Bongo Pete" didn't survive very well aainst the offshore wind!

WOW! The first person to actually read the OP and respond to it correctly.
Those are quite interesting stories to tell people.

Haha yeah, I mean I doubt he would have died or anything because a lifeboat probably would have picked him up eventually, but I guess I diffused the situation and it meant the lifeboat crew were free incase another incident occured.

He's a funny guy, he didn't want me to tow him to the main beach incase people he knew saw him! But I was like "nah mate, I'm taking you to the nearest beach, next time don't take your dinghy out in an offshore wind, maybe if your mates laugh at you it will be a lesson to you!"

To be fair I saw him in a pub a few days later and he bought me a couple of pints of beer, nice guy.

Quite a few years ago, I went to the aid of a bus driver who was being attacked by three yobs.
Trying to rob this man of his daily takings, foolishly I took them on and threw them off the bus, problem solved I thought.

Unknown to me another assailant was also on the rampage and hidden on the bus, I never even seen it coming.

Blinded by some incredible light my eyes see red, it was blood, never knew it at the time, it was making my head throb, thump thump thump.

I learn later that the robber that hit me over the head , used a retractable steel baton.

Any how, to cut a long story short, the fkrs got off with it, busman retired due to (whatever) do not know.

As for me, bad memory forget a lot of things, pains still in my head, due to the severe arterial bleed, I had.

Would I do the same thing again (help) sure I would, and have come, even recenttly to others, in distress.

A lot more can be added here, about how my Father died the very same night as this happened, but this is a bit much even thinking abut it it, hope you understand it ws related to the event.

I will never forget.

And its gone.

Oh shit son, that sounds gnarly as fuck. Luckily I've never had the misfortune to witness such a messed up situation. Much respect to you for getting involved when many people would certainly have turned a blind eye. Sorry to hear about your father, that must have been a very intense night for you, I can't imagine how you would have coped mentally with all that nonsense, especially as it seemed justice was not done in this case...

Hope you have recovered a bit since the incident, I would have been in pieces I reckon, even years later. Chin up my friend, don't let the fuckers in this world bring you down, you heroic mofo. World needs more people like you.

Much respect and praise for being such a hero in real life. Only few people will risk their life for the sake of others. Kudos!

This can also be something heroic!
Especially if he made his family proud with this success.

I'm not a hero, don't think like that about myself. But I like to help and do something good whenever I can, without expecting something in return. So, maybe that counts too.

Not for a human.... i did once take a dive into ice cold water for a cat though, looked like he was in trouble not being able to keep his head up anymore. Took a dive, brought it ashore, looked at me like i was an alien and ran off lol

This is about in real life right? Not about being a hero member here as all knows that takes time and alot of helping people along the way. But in real life anybody can be a hero in an instant, just by making the right decision in a split second situation.
