Bitcoin Core Help

Hi,

1. I just started using Bitcoin and I did the following:

2. Downloaded Bitcoin Core and installed.

3. Purchased bitcoins from Circle exchange.

4. Used the Request Payment link to send payment to my Bitcoin Core wallet.

However, I do not see any amount for the transaction. The Bitcoin Core software displays a "Synchronizing with Network" message but I did not receive the transaction. Can anyone please hep me to learn how to resolve this issue and get payment? Thanks so much in advance!!!

You have to wait for the core to synch with network. It will appear after it fully synches. Well, it did for me.

U got the payment, u just can't see it tho in your core client because u have transactions from 2 years ago and not current ones (including yours).
Just synchronize your core client, just wait and u will see your transaction.

Synchronization even take 24 hours depending on the network  condition. You have  and to be pateint a you will see
the payment in bitcoin wallet

how much your speed downoad..? are you have unlimited bandwith ?
i think you need 24-48 hours to get synced network

what do you mean about "you have transactions from two years ago..." ? this is new wallet or old wallet ?when you buy bitcoin from exchanger?

There is no need to panic mate , take in consideration that "Sync with network" message will disappear once you download a 40 gb file so now you are downloading it  , and It will take time (depends on your internet speed) .
So if you can see your transaction in the Blockchain (use Blockchain.info or BlockTrail.com to search for your address then go to the transactions tab)  then there is nothing to be worried about .

if you don't have an SSD hard disk or a high speed internet, or if you are like me and don't like storing >40GB of data on your hard disk, then i suggest you check out SPV wallets like Electrum.

because they are easy to use and take up very small size on your hard disk.

The easiest way to assure if you really get the coins once the blockchain is fully synchronized is, to take the transaction id (it should be provided on within your Circle member area) and type it into the blockchain.info explorer. If the transaction exist then you also should see the receiver. And the receiver must be your Bitcoin address. If this is the case, you do not need to be worried in any case

Blockchain is a pain in the ass. For someone like me with 130 mbps internet, it takes FOREVER to sync. Even though syncing takes so long, it's all worth it because a hard wallet is the best way to keep bitcoin. Best security.

I have a significantly slower connection and sync (daily) under 5 minutes. I guess you either have a slow disk or CPU, probably both if it takes "forever".

I am lucky and I cannot figure out for the life of me why.  I live on a old family farm I should have slow internet, this place had satellite for a while.  For some reason the local city went to all the farms with fiber... yep they spent I don't know how many months laying fiber.  

I am sitting on gigabit internet and very happy.  Only problem after getting that was getting a router that handled it.  Ended up with a Netgear Nighthawk and love my router now to.
