Windows 7 x64
Sapphire Vapor-X R9 280x

Running on nanopool and I notice that my hash rate keeps dropping from the almost 21Mh/s for Ethminer to 8.8MH/s a second. Not only that after a good 12+ hours running I did not receive any payout.   I have now moved to Suprnova and mining average 22.37MH/s and already got a small payout of .12 us dollars..  I don't trust nanopool.org at all..

Also is there a better software than ethminer that you can tweak GPU settings can it be tweaked in ethminer?  I would like to know how to tweak in ethminer for my GPU if it's possible.

Remember that Bitcoin is still beta software. Don't put all of your money into BTC!

Ethereum shouldn't be pool mined. Solo mine instead. Even if you only have 1 GPU. You'll hit a block in about the same time it'll take you to earn 5 eth on a pool, probably even quicker actually.

8.6 days to find a block on average.

When the difficulty is rising fast, it is better to do pool mining now. As you can get payment when the difficulty is still low.

You cant be serious, mining on a pool is far better than solo mining unless you have over 2ghz of hash
You waiting days for a block is not smart unless you have free power.

You have to wait days for a block. When the block is found, the difficulty for the next block has already risen, the chance you will get next block is reduced.

I tried to get solo up and running but found pool setup to work without issues.  Nano pool does fluctuate with extreme spikes, thought it was my settings.  I find Ethereum to be a challenge due to scattered bits of info and guides that are too general.  Much like any new crypto I suppose.

What is your 390x hash rate? What is the core/memory frequency. what is the reading of power in and power out in GPUZ?

So that is no better than the same clock R9 390. I wonder why. The power consumption is also higher than that of 390.

sanadas

what settings are you useing?
mine are
ethminer --opencl-platform 1 --opencl-device 0 -G -F http://URL/gpu1
windows with Non-WHQL-64Bit-Radeon-Software-Crimson-16.2-Win10-Win8.1-Win7-Feb23

tried latest 16.3 but then i got slower speed like 20MH so i went bak to 16.2

well it cost 60% more, so it's not that better, you pay upfront the electricity for 1 year
