Good Morning or Afternoon (where-ever you may be),

I'm a noob to this so please bear with me.

I've recently brought a bitcoin and transferred it into my bitcoin core wallet, but I wasn't aware that I had to download the whole block chain before it was accessible. I have now realised that I am not going to be able to download the whole network because of the sheer amount of memory it takes. So my question is, is my bitcoin stuck in the network? Am I able to transfer the bitcoin from my bitcoin core wallet to my electrum ?

Any advice or help would be appreciated greatly,

Kind regards,
Stephen

The instructions are here:
https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Transferring_coins_from_Bitcoin-Qt_to_Electrum

You don't need to download the whole blockchain if you sweep.

It seems possible ,not that your bitcoins are stuck in the network if it has reached the minimum number of conformations.Do you mind posting your bitcoin address or TXID ? Also you don't really have to download the entire blockchain to access the wallet I guess.

In the Electrum window, click Wallet -> Private Keys -> Sweep. Paste the private keys from Bitcoin-Qt here. Check the resulting transaction is okay and click Broadcast. Your funds will be swept from the addresses in Bitcoin Core and put in an Electrum wallet address.
