he got a lot of the things right and people generally believe he is from the future.

did he say anything about Bitcoins?  Huh

He may or may not be a troll, but BTC does actually fit one of Titor's predictions. From the Wikipedia article:

Never said I beleived Titor's story, Scientician, just thought it was an interesting and funny coincidence. Also I did post a while back about burning account keys onto credit card tracks, though a lot of people seemed to ignore me...

Wait, now I know how to get peoples' attention when I have a good idea!

 i heard a session in which godlikeproductions moderaters had this interview with some guy who researched John Titor like crazy and has a website up, i loved listening to every minute of it, very interesting stuff
