Hello everyone.
Although I have been watching and reading for a while, this is my first (real) post on this forum.

I am currently in the process of writing an 8-10 page research paper for my English 102 class about the benefits Bitcoin could have for the world. My current working thesis is this: "Although Bitcoin is widely misunderstood, and this raises some skepticism, it is an amazing new technology that should be taken advantage of." I have changed my thesis multiple times already, but I am very open to criticism and would love to hear everyone's ideas.

The articles I have looked at are these:

I need at least 3 more articles to reference in my paper, but 7 more would be great. If you guys have any recommendations, I'd love to check them out! What do you think I should include in my argument? I figure the people on here know so much about Bitcoin that you'd have some ideas for the main points of my argument.

Finally, how do you think I should organize my paper? I've been thinking about doing the Introduction, then an explanation of Bitcoin, then misconceptions/cons about Bitcoin, then my counter arguments/pros about Bitcoin, then the conclusion. Should I do it like that or some other way?

I'm not trying to make anyone write my paper, it will eventually come down to me writing it. But I think it would be appropriate to include the input of some members of the Bitcoin community. I will be sure to post my paper on here when it's done. Thanks everyone!

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Thanks, I will print this out and try to make some sense of all of the technical stuff. This will probably be great for helping me explain exactly what Bitcoin is.
What do you think are some economic benefits that Bitcoin could (or already does) have for the U.S. or the world? What other kinds of benefits does it have than economic?

The New York regulation is a poor example of how it should be done. The BitLicense was just a way for them to make make extra money and to exclude poor companies and poor people from using the technology. You cannot over regulate something and think people will be happy about that.

A lot of companies was forced to leave the state, to continue doing business in Bitcoin, because it was too complicated and too expensive.

Ok, so how exactly should it be done? Do you know of a good example, or do you have an idea yourself?

Well in regards to looking for further articles, I would say try to check some of the articles from BTCitcoin centered news websites like the following:

http://cointelegraph.com/
https://www.coindesk.com/
https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/
https://bitcoinmagazine.com/
https://99bitcoins.com/
https://coinreport.net/
http://www.newsbtc.com/
http://bitcoinwarrior.net/

Regarding the ordering of the content of your research paper, their all good IMO however, regardless of everything else, your missing the point of trying BTCitcoins yourself and experiencing everything since you've been reading only and it's always a bit different with each experience everyone gets and would be helpful for you to understand and bring the thought on the paper when you've experienced it yourself.

Thanks, I'll look at all of those sources. I didn't know there were that many Bitcoin news websites.
I already have a pretty basic understanding of Bitcoin and have used it a few times myself. I just haven't participated much in this forum. I am looking for some articles that might discuss the large scale effects that bitcoin could have on the world.

Does anyone know of a source I could look at that would tell how much money an individual (or a group) could save by using Bitcoin as much as possible? I think I could use an interesting statistic like this in the essay.
