What is Pepecoin?Pepecoin is an open source peer to peer cryptocurrency that carries the memecoin genre to the next level with innovative features and real world application aimed at the robust community that already supports Pepe. Pepecoin utilizes the x11 algorithm for POW mining in order to ensure the broadest possible audience has the capability to mine PEPE, secure the network, and guarantee fair distribution.

RARE HISTORY
Pepe the frog has a rich and unique history that contributed greatly to its popularity. The original version of Pepe was derived from the comic series Boys Club by Matt Furie. Pepe was cut out of the comic and constantly reposted on the Internet with his ubiquitous catchphrase: Feels Good Man! It did not take long for more images of Pepe to surface. Throughout the past few years, the original Pepe meme was redrawn into other notable examples such as: Sad Frog, Smug Frog, Angry Pepe, Nu Pepe, and most prominently, Rare Pepe. Rare Pepe is the final evolution of the Pepe meme in general as it incorporates all previous Pepes under a new, unifying idea.
As the Pepe meme began to spread and many derivations of the original Pepe the frog meme were conceived, it was finally determined that Pepes should be given value based on their rarity. Many Pepes have been created so far, but there has been no way to properly give a Pepe its proper weight in the community. Some people opted to watermark their custom made Pepes in order to preserve its rarity, but people with mal intent started to photoshop watermarks away, diminishing the value of the Pepe posted. This gave rise to a serious problem. The people holding rare Pepes have no real way of showing them off to their friends without desecrating their Pepes’ rarity. Anyone could steal a Pepe for themselves. This malicious practice will come to an end.
Pepe has always been a popular Internet meme dating back to 2005. Recently, interest in the Pepe meme exploded and this calls for a better way to store rare Pepes and preserve their value.

- Enforced stake weight coin value cap of 100,000 PEPE replaces the idea of 'block splitting' and prevents large PEPE holders from signing an unfairly/insecurely large number of POS blocks.

- Proof of Sadfrog also keeps the network alive by slowing coin age after 1 month with an aging half life of 90 days. Keep the magic alive.
- PepeLife technology ensures PEPE holders contribute to the health of the network at least once each month to earn the highest possible rewards, and incentivises running full nodes and/or keeping wallets open to increase PEPE network security.
EXTRA RELAUNCH INFORMATION
Security updates for proper chain preservation blocks 0-100 have the reward amount set to 0 aside from the tendies fund Pepes, they have however been mined pre-launch to ensure the nodes remain locked on the proper chain throughout the launch and there after. This was done as a countermeasure to the previous launches failure.
As a side benefit to the pre launch mining, the difficulty has been balanced and will balance out the initial coin distribution phase.
Funding of development, rare pepes, bounties, contests, merchandise, community events & marketingA small tendies fund amount of 3.5% has been set solely for the purpose of the above mentioned categories designated to improve Pepe. We have several releases planned for the project already, however your suggestions will all be considered, we value any and all input on the project and we look forward to sharing the tendies with those who devote their time and contribute to the Pepe community. This tendies fund is very small and as such it will be necessary for us to preserve it and expense it wisely to maximize it's value to the project and community as it grows, so please submit your ideas to us for approval prior to completing them.
We're a small dedicated team, we do not have the resources to mine enough coins manually to cover the associated costs of coin in light of the demand on the first launch. We have set this tendies fund to assist us in our ability to make our desired contributions to the Pepe project, and the community itself, while guaranteeing that we have the resources required to put the time into truly make something of this. Pepe is a meme favorite of many, and has grown massively over the last year, It's a great brand and has the proper metrics to expand into multiple communities. PEPE was tweaked and tested and strained and stretched for 3 days and this is reflected in the public GitLab commits. The starting diff has been raised, minor tweaks to connections, pepe seeds and syncing modifications.
