Was one of those games about buying water/food for your ducks/chickens/sheep and selling their eggs/fur for satoshi? It also asked for referrals as part of the requirements to increase your animals limit?

I really don't get what the big deal is here.. Entry level programmers can make these games inside three-days using some high-level HTML5 game engine and bitcoind or something for the "Gem" or whatever purchases and payouts via CGI or websockets..

All the revenue comes from the accelerator elements of the game and ads. I doubt the people behind these made much money. Most players were people who didn't understand the value of 10,000 satoshi.. The city satoshi game paid only $90.00 to the winner of each cycle and all the lots maxed only made 600,000 satoshi an hour and took hundreds of dollars to accelerate enough to build inside a cycle. The best strategy made tens of dollars profit inside a cycle and that's not even factoring time-wasted and electricity..

I have faith that one day this forum will get threads where people won't just repeat their previous posts or what others have already stated in the same thread. Also that people will stop acting like BTC is toy-money and start holding vendors accountable. Naive? Maybe.

Yes, that was FarmSatoshi.

I remember it was quite popular back then, how long did it stay "legitimate" and was paying out?
