I believe that there will be no united Syria after this war ends, every group will create his country like a country for kurds, one for Sunnis, one for Shiites and so on.
I do not think that this war will end soon because there are big arms dealers and governments who are benefit from this war in somehow.
the only one who lost everything in this war is the civilians whom their homes are destroyed and they have more that 300,000 one was killed at least. those people are who deserve our prayers.

It will not end well since I can not imagine Turkey giving up land to the Kurds. So much violence among little factions and its become a gumbo soup of Countries propping up sides.
The middle east has some serious shaking to be done before any thing is worked out and the proxy wars are just getting going.

I think it will decades before Syria ever returns to anything regardless of the civil war outcome. Shd Assad make gains, he'll never truly control the whole country and whatever areas he does control will have periodic bloodbath reprisals.
