Quite Impressed by the video. Can't really say this is the exact way of solving a cube though.Already the controllers are attached and they are programmed to move in one direction only.just a simple algoirthm is implemented.

Get a human to jumble the cube up in the video then let the computer try and solve it.
So did it really solve it ? Be nice to see if it's possible. Then I will be amazed

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=52TKcOwNgBg  better explained video how it works

They do jumble it up so I suppose I am amazed Grin

The lesson here is rather than pursuing a career in solving Rubik's Cubes, pursue a career in developing the machine that solves Rubik's Cubes instead.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oEmTXN8koUg&feature=youtu.be

That's cool, but really, it's not that surprising a robot can do it...

They're programmed to do these sorts of things. I would like to ask the developer, could he have solved that rubik's cube in less than a second? Tongue

To me it looks like it takes more than 1 second for that robot to solve the Cube but well that's impressive anyway. Yeah I saw the timer with 0.888 s on it but it looks like it took a second and a half at least. Did they slow the vid to make it possible to see the moves?

And You said it like its a bad thing, its not.
Thats the goal anyway, robots doing stuff and humans take all the benefit.
Future belongs to robots, adroids and yes, terminators(cyborgs) aswell.
Like in "walle" fat, mindless people sit all day and consume where robots do the dirty work.
Some may dont like that but thats the ultimete NWO dream.

You sound like it is a bad thing.

Life will go on, with or without us.

I think we'll go the hybrid route rather than outright replacement.  But who knows?  We might abandon our carbon based forms and move on to silicon anyway.

If you were yourself but your body did not require food for energy, but instead it would get energy just by looking at the sun, or from a wall, would that be a bad thing?

No complications of pumping blood constantly, digestive system issues, mechanical failures, messy sex and reproduction, inability to handle extreme temperatures, pressure, g-force etc, etc.

Nice, but they only moved the robot about five or six times. Just memorize some movements and then repeat them at a faster speed.
