http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BV6RHDHjYJAA friend linked me to this video that can induce hypnosis. It guides you through an imaginary door in a deeply relaxed state that should purportedly bring back a memory of "your most recent previous life". After the video, stories like this show up:
"Mine sucked.
Born at the turn of the century in Czechoslovakia. My father was killed during WWI. I developed a bit of a complex over it because I broke my leg as a kid, and wasn't able to go off to fight due to a permanent limp. My family grew up pretty poor due to not having my father around, and I ended up supporting them for the most part. I worked for the local (district) law enforcement, probably to satisfy my need for paramilitary service. I took my work pretty seriously and rose to relative importance rather quickly. I wasn't very social or anything, though, so I spent most of my money spoiling my nieces/nephews.
My past self kind of disappointed me, though, as I didn't help out my best friend during the Nazi occupation. He was an artist, and didn't hide his homosexuality. My men and I went to his house (along with others) with the Germans, and my men saw that I was upset when they went to his house. I knew that they would fight at that point if I asked them to, but I just went along with the Germans. I didn't have any family or anything, so I think it was just wanting to ensure that I stayed on track to be prominent that I did that. He ended up dying in a concentration camp, which helped me develop into a bitter old man.
I sort of redeemed myself when the Soviets came to power, though."

"This was pretty amazing. I remembered being a little inuit girl in Alaska. I think it was the 1920's I fell through some ice as a child and was sick for most of my teen years. I married an american man who was never around. I think he worked at a college. he might have died young. I died as an old woman I fell down outside somewhere and hit my head. I awoke only for a moment to find myself in a comfy but unfamiliar bed before passing on. I remember death being a pretty nice experience."
