https://blockchain.info/wallet/send-anonymously

Quote
How does a "Mixer" work?

Bitcoins sent anonymously are not sent directly to the recipient instead they are routed through a shared wallet. After careful analysis the funds are swapped for clean or "un-tainted" coins found from either the shared mixing wallet or from blockchain.info's private wallet. The clean coins are forwarded to the destination address and the original coins remain in the shared wallet thereby severing any relationship between the input address and the destination address.
