I guess this is somehow related with Mavrodi, founder of MMM that live in Russia. He's influential enough and eventhough he did scam Russians before there are still people who trust him and his program.

I also wonder some of my facebook friends are still investing in MMM, it's obvious they make use of a ponzi scheme.

For me not all bitcoin user is russian because we are worldwide using bitcoin so i think russian not most all of user of bitcoin Not all russian are scammer you dont have any proof that all of russian is a scammer. I think scammer is good in hiding their identity so for not all russian is scammer there are only few russians.

It is because of laziness and being greedy that's why they are taking the risk eventhough it will be their loss.

This topic is necessarily meaningless; the science of demography requires detailed information on individual participants, something which can and should never be obtained in a system designed to protect anonymity.
Very well said. I think that OP is not intending to lead us in the other side, he may be found an article or something, that he in the end made such topic that could confused the hell out of us.

OP, any proof on this to carry on your topic? Just because you might have seen some Russians in a chat or a website, you thought that most users are Russia-based?
I think the OP has started this topic because the Russians are more obvious in the usage of bitcoin than any other country, and more of the online casinos using bitcoin are also from Russia, so it feels like the Russians are more than any other.

Well it seems like Russia has a lot of Bitcoiners judging by this graph: the usage is really important, I think that in the countries where the governments decide to ban Bitcoin, are the countries that get the most usage, like on China where its not really legal but they have a big interest as you can see by the mining industry. i think the more gov bans or limits Bitcoin the more interest people will have. Such a graph is meaningless without comparison to the trading volumes of other countries' fiats (and I do believe overall volume has actually gone up) or as a proportion of total BTC/fiat exchange volume over a fixed time period, and so it provides no argument. Even then, it would only demonstrate volume in Rubles was higher; what we seek to ascertain is whether or not users are over-represented in one particular place, and trading bitcoin back and forth from fiat does not necessarily provide this information. Certain currencies (the CNY, for example) are over-represented in exchange volumes due to administrative massaging, anyway, so this is not gospel. Just my 2c.

I don't know but in my experience a lot of russian uses Bitcoin, I was shocked on how many Russian people visit ads, for example if you advert an ad in MellowAds, the statistics during the campaign will show you that more than 45% of the visitors are of Russian origin.

You are wrong, my friend. Most of the russians have no idea about such thing as cryptocurrency. and why most of russians are scammers? and stereotypes are bad.

I think the Chinese are of higher influence and users of Bitcoin rather than the Russians to be honest hence their influence in the last year of the market.

Google Trends suggests something rather different it depends on what you have searched for in my opinion also most people might be just using vpns or proxies so the data might surely be inaccurate and we cant make any predictions according to that actually im surprised that most bitcoin users are russians because their government has banned bitcoin from use, i guess it is like a protest against that or something like that

You are Russian and just do not know it yet. Prove you are man! I used to think I was American but now I know I am Russian, thanks man! The vodka has really helped me bring myself to the realization that I live in the country with the biggest controlled landmass on earth and probably the weirdest gun designs that work. As for OP, I still have yet to see evidence a lot of the people here are Russian. It seems to mostly be Westerners or similar countries, however there are Russians on the forum.
