bitcoin can not be main currency because it is not supported by any high-price material. For example fiat money supported by gold. And price of dollar related with gold capital. But bitcoin is not related with any gold capital etc. So bitcoin is cost nothing...

Practically no fiat currency is backed by gold anymore. It's way too convenient for governments to print money without having to back it.

So that fiat money is only backed by the trust in that country and government.

But the trust in Bitcoin is backed by the trust every bitcoiner has in the other bitcoiners. And you can trust them more since they will never steal your money like governments can do. Zyprus for example. Many went bankrupt there. Received a credit of hundred thousand in their bank account, money was stolen and they still would have to pay back the credit. And other things happened.

Not really. When shopping it would most probably work the way that you send bitcoins, they check that bitcoins are coming in and that the fee is high enough and then you can leave with a confirmation. Only for bigger transactions they would demand a confirmation.

It would not work with the current limits the protocol has. Not only that but the tech of nodes will be way too slow to handle the amount of transactions.

The FUNNiest thing that is going to happen is , "If someone has to buy something, the shopkeeper will wait for transaction confirmation !"

Well, for higher priced items it would be no problem. You buy a car, send the transaction and sit down with the seller drinking a coffee, conversating a bit, until the first confirmation comes in.

In stores, for example expensive clothes or jewelry, I think the shop owner will decide on case by case. A new user buying a $3000 jacket might have to wait for a confirmation, surely will be treated well in that time, but a known custome with money surely can work out of the store fast.

Well, might even be that it becomes a status symbol to be a "nonconfirmer" or something. Like taking out your platin credit card or so. Impressing the kind of ladies that look somewhat more like ticks. Well, some guys try to show off that way too. In fact one should never take such a girl you practically have to pay to be with you. It's not much more like a whore then. If they only want to fuck them ok...

Because it is not a major currency in the world.

There have been many speculations that btc could be the "currency of da world", and even though that is not anytime soon, I look forward to the day. Although it could cause a lot more problems like hacking and stealing money, I think it can make things a lot easier such as shopping and transfering money.
