1000 it's near 1 million dollars, it's quite a bit, yet again, there are tons of new millionaires yearly.

In a decade someone holding 1000 will be a billionaire. It will be extremely rare that someone still holds as many coins by then.

Bitcoin billionaire is indeed a nice name for it plus everyone knows exactly when you are saying you are talking about if you are asking me.

Exactly. It's a nice chunk if change, but not something one couldn't achieve within a lifetime if one wanted. Still, hell of a wad of btc. Capital gains will help you with some of that burden Smiley

Lol, Yeah we can call them like that also but look the price worth of 1000 btc in fiat then you would call them like that. I think we can call him Digital billionaire.

perfect answer what you told is correct as this is digital world so they will be called as Digital Billionaire, but only on digital world as the price goes up and down so today they are digital billionaire as per fiat currency calculation what if tommorrow or after halving if the price goes down then according to that day calculation he will be called according to that.

So in this digital world you cannot tell or give them any names , it is just better to call them WHALES , as they are holding 1000 + bitcoins

1000 BTC means 730000 USD at current price. It means 4,89,100,00 in my local currency.

This amount of money will help me to buy a 3 BHK flat and a peaceful retired life if I invest it wisely in my local economy. Someone is holding that much will be called "Ultra high net worth individual" in bank's language. I hope to ear that much someday.

Someone with a million dollars, euros, pounds or pesos is a millionaire. No one (Okay maybe Satoshi) has a million Bitcoins and probably never will.

So what's someone with BTC1000 called? A thousandaire? There's got to be a better name. 'Bitcoin Whale' is just so meaningless and some people don't consider BTC1000 a whale anyways.

What should we call a Bitcoin thousandaire?

Update: We should come up with a name for someone with a thousand Bitcoins. Why, you ask? We need to stop converting Bitcoins to fiat and vice versa. Treat it as a currency or a vessel to hold your wealth. Saying someone with 1000 Bitcoins is 'someone with $400,000USD' will be pointless at some point in our lifetimes.

Let's come up with a name so we stop comparing Bitcoins to fiat. You wouldn't tell someone with 10M pesos that because they're worth less than dollars they aren't a millionaire based on American dollars. You also wouldn't compare USD to gold anytime someone brought up how much a house costs.

Me: "Hey Bill. I'm buying the big house at the top of the hill for $1,000,000"
Bill: "Oh so like 25kg of gold?"

That's just ludicrous. No one compares different currencies or vessels of wealth as much as Bitcoiners. Let's stop it by coming up with basic terms.

Hahah, this topic is very funny huh and interesting. Well, I will call someone who has a thousand bitcoin as bitcoin addict. Because seriously, how did he earned that? Through casinos, gambling, investing? How much of his time was spent just for him to have that huge amount of bitcoin right? Or maybe he is just so rich or a good procastinator.

What do you call someone with 1000BTC? Simple, a rich man. If I had that many bitcoins, I don't mind the tag or title that goes with it. Having that many bitcoins is enough and I'd be happy to buy a lot of stuff with that. With the current price at over $730 each, that is almost equivalent to three quarters of a million dollars. Wow.

It is indeed a lot of money and maybe you can call him the Bitcoin master or something but it is also really hard to get that much Bitcoin so that is nice if that is possible.
But some people are greedy and that will be really hard to wait for them to have that much Bitcoin so that is bad.
