Bitfilm is a yearly International Festival for Digital Film

Where you can vote on the best digital animation. This Year featuring Bitcoin.

It's Sponsored by:

The Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg
Hamburg, Germany's second largest city, is the seat of many important German media companies. It is also the hometown of Bitfilm. The government of the federal state of Hamburg has been supporting the Bitfilm Festival since 2003.

Macromedia School for Media and Communication
Macromedia is a private media school that will cooperate with the Bitfilm Festival on many levels. Macromedia students will work in the festival's programme, organisation and PR team. The school, located in the centre of Hamburg, will also host workshops, seminars and screenings.

Goethe Institute Bangalore
The Goethe Institute is a public institution that promotes German language, art and culture worldwide. Goethe Bangalore is our main partner for our kick-off event in India's high-tech metropolis.

Bitcoin.de
Bitcoin.de is a marketplace to buy and sell Bitcoins. Bitcoin.de will support us in the voting mechanism. They have also allowed us to use the film we have produced for them (with slight changes) as our festival trailer.

We Use Coins
We Use Coins is one of the leading portals into the world of Bitcoin and a media partner of the festival. They have produced a great short film which explains what Bitcoin is.

Here is the opening in Bangalore (India).: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mOCBjDM6ZiQ

There should be a film festival where each entrant needs to involve bitcoin in their short film somehow.

If this is a success, I'm pretty confident there will be a lot Bitcoin related movies next year. Because everyone would like to get as much Bitcoin tips a possible.

If it isn't, well then probably not.

Damn this is a good idea, and to think Bitfilm was not created for specifically Bitcoin. What a coincidence that the name fall

in place like that. We need a lot of people to create content for Bitcoin to be distributed for free on the internet and projects

like this will help to accomplish this goal. Why not register a ICO to fund this project?  Huh
