Help with GUIminer

Hi,

I am a noob to bitcoin mining. I have read a bit about it and followed this awesome guide(https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=9430.0). However, when I download guiminer and try to run it, next to nothing happens. I get a icon in the notification area that disappears quite fast. That's it. I don't see any window at all, no error messages, nothing.

I have installed the amd app openCL thing. Tried rebooting and a few different versions of GUIminer. Nothing seems to work. Could this be a bug with GUIminer, or is there something I haven't done right?

i am in the same boat downloaded a guiminer and joined slushs pool but not a lot is happening. it does seem complicated for a newbie

This worked for me when I was starting with guiminer!

What drivers are you using? 13.2 beta 7 doesn't work .

Yes. I have trid to run as admin. Same result
