Also, I recommend that you not use blockchain.info as they have had several problems in the past.

I recommend that you use Electrum as it can be used as a wallet and local server side API.

How secure do you want ?
If you want your bitcoin to be really secure then i suggest to use hardware wallet, though they will cost you a few bucks, they are well known to protect your Bitcoin Wink
you can find the list of known hardware wallet here

Otherwise, you can always to use desktop wallet, electrum is one of them
check the list of desktop wallet here
