First off, I again would like to thank all the artists who have shown interest in this bounty. However, its been 2 days with no activity on this thread. I know I've been incredible busy, but I don't know about you. I hope there are still a few people working to win this bounty.
In light of the all the feedback that I've received over the course of this bounty, I feel it is necessary to make some adjustments.
I'm adding a 2nd Round with an additional 5BTC reward to end on Monday, February 4th 00:00 (EST). This is exactly 72 hours after the conclusion of what is now to be called Round 1. A few things will come of this.
- There will be an additional incentive for those that were not comfortable with the winner-take-all system.
- It will allow me to send the 5BTC to the Round 1 winner (the first brave soul) as proof of commitment by me.
- You will have the entire weekend (hopefully less full-time commitments) to work on your graphic and make a submission for Round 2.
I promise that there will be 2 payouts, as long as these minimum are met by participants:
- You make an honest effort to provide a graphic similar to the screenshots posted from FB above. Again, my concern is not necessarily to have a "finished" graphic right away, but to have a solid theme that can be used for branding and marketing later.
- You post your final work to this thread before the deadlines. Friday, Feb 1st 00:00 (EST) and Monday, Feb 4th 00:00 (EST).
After the 2 rounds have concluded, I will work with the two winning participants to finalize their work. (I have no problem working with 2 or more designers as there is a ton of planned work already in the pipeline). At that time, we can discuss additional payment arrangements for the current and future assignments. As an additional reward, the 2 winners will receive priority for assignments during the launch phase of this project.
Finally, I have been very, very busy the last few days, so I was not able to work on the escrow setup I envision will be a service on the system. So, I have decided to setup what will become our "official" bounty address. All bounties will draw from this address, which allows us to:
- leave a public paper trail of ALL past bounty rewards
- and give incentive to those participating in the bounties that they are "truly" fully funded
Future bounties will likely include things like (1) Bug Bounties, (2) Translation Bounties, (3) Idea Bounties, etc.
(to be as clear as possible. my idea of a bounty doesn't necessarily mean finshed product, but more like who wins the "right" to create a finished product. so additional payment arrangements following our bounties will be normal). I plan to continuously add funds to this address over time, but ONLY pay out from this address for bounty rewards.
