www.SimplyBTC.com

New mining pool is up, looking for people to help us solve our first block and test new features as they become available!

0% fee (until out of beta at least), Stats on top of the site update every 10 minutes

Features:
  • Long polling
  • PushPool backend
  • USA Dedicated server with 1gbps port [Ping times from around the world]
  • Payouts after block confirm (solved block transaction fees are given to miners)
  • JSON-API
  • User passwords stored by bcrypt hash method

ToDos
  • SSL
  • Advanced stats
  • Preconfigured miner package download
  • Phoenix wrapper for automatic restart if miner freezes using simply api
  • Payouts before block confirm
  • Android/iPhone app (and mobile optimized web interface)

For technical reasons, the fee is actually 0.01%, with the next major revision I will implant the ability to choose your donation amount.

What reward system does the pool use?

It uses this scoring system: your profits = ((user shares/total shares)*reward)-(reward*0.02)

where reward = total block reward + extra block transaction fees.

Which I believe is pretty standard.

I'm contributing 1 GH/s to the pool right now, but I'm currently mining for another pool. So I'll stop for 1-2 days...once that pool finds another block I will switch over to this one.

I'll be back on Thursday.

Fair warning, that will cause the pool-hoppers to exploit your pool. I recommend the cheat proof method described in this forum.

If you used php to build your site you can look at my implementation here:
http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=13164.0

cheers, and good luck with your pool.

Thanks for your support.

As for pool hopping, I still see that users are compensated for the shares they submit, each share has the possibility of solving the block so each one should be valued accordingly.

If enough users find pool hopping to be a problem, I will cater to them and implant a different scoring method.

For now, I would like to see us solve our first block, and take it day-by-day to make the changes our members think are right.

Thanks!
