This is a huge spike with no news pushing it higher. Could be:
-- Hedge fund manager getting creative and building a small stake -- Big announcement leaked and someone's taking advantage of it -- banksters think collapse of USD/EUR are imminent -- trust-fund kid wants to prove to dad he's got what it takes to grow the family fortune

I dunno, it feels a bit bubblicious to me. I can't see what in the underlying fundamentals could cause such a rise in the past few weeks.

I don't think it seems too double-bubble yet. It seems like a logical increase from all the new sites accepting btc, as well as some asic hype condensing into orders.
but still, I'm no economist.

Another possibility;
-- Someone has been keeping the price down, but has now run out of bitcoins

Another possibility is that the whales of S.Dice keeps on buying BTC and losing it to the dice
|
It seemed like a good idea at the time.

Someone running the price up to later cause a crash to discredit bitcoin?
I'm holding on tight though.

But seriously,When you see BTC go up and down like this over a year or so.You realize you're in it mainly for the long run not for short term quick trades of BTC.
