Since you are still a newbie you cannot be join a signature campaign. So here are my suggestions for earning a bitcoin without buying.

1. Bitcoin Faucets
2. Downloading and playing games and getting rewards with it through bitcoin (I.e Coin Flapper)
3.  Read Books that pays bitcoin.
4. Play Dice.

However there are lots of way to earn bitcoin for free you just need to surf around.

I like doing simple freelance jobs like graphic designing, ghostwriting, proofreading, etc. These jobs pay well and can be completed in a day.

when I first know about bitcoin. I try not to buy bitcoin. but I try to get it for free and it did work, however, if without capital does require patience.

bitcoin price is so high but you do not have to buy a complete coin.
first I advice you not to waste your time with faucets. you will make less than one dollar per day after hours of surfing them.
Just try to offer your skills like designing, translating, etc.. in the service board and get paid in btc

Absolutely right. Faucets are a waste of time if you want more than $1 worth. And gambling? that's ridiculous. The only mathematically provable thing about gambling is that chances are you will lose your money. If you want to make money gambling then you need to buy a casino.
