I couldn't do it!
16,5 hours sitting in a plane, I would go crazy. I need to move, to stand, to walk and to do things. And how comfortable are the seats? If there's a crying baby sitting in front of me, will I be allowed to silence him any way I want? Does the plane include sockets so you can use your own laptop and tablet? What about a bar? A swimming-pool? A tennis court?
I would definitely try and hope that I would survive without the pool and tennis court, but pretty stewardesses would certainly make sure the bar is open all the time
What's even more crazy is the record for the longest regular commercial flight was 18 and a half hours - Newark to Singapore, it was shut down (since 2013) but is expected to start up again around 2018. It must certainly be a prestigious route for any pilot to fly. Must be a tough experience in economy class.
I did not know of this information, but for this it would be good to have some sort of mini hibernation.Go to sleep and wake up at the other end of the world or at the bottom of the ocean.Somehow it seems to me that the longer the flight is,the greater is the chance of an accident.
