I've been waiting on a localbitcoin transaction to confirm for hours now and still zero confirmations. Many of my friends don't know what I mean when I say "waiting on confirmations". Whoever flooded the chain to really show off their 1337 hax0r skills is a fucking moron.

Maybe it wasn't a bad idea to increase the memory pool...

Signatures? How about learning a skill... I don't care either way. Everybody has to make a living somehow.

Include higher fees and stop bitching.

This is nothing more than BTC failing to grow at the rate it's currently being used.

Whoever flooded the chain to really show off their 1337 hax0r skills is a fucking moron.
Whoever is spam-attacking the network is doing so with their monetary power, not some "hacks".

Maybe it wasn't a bad idea to increase the memory pool...
You don't have a damn clue about whats going on, at least read up on a few articles/threads before commenting.

You can increase the memory pool on your node by increasing the RAM - or are you talking about the block size?   This is people spending money, probably to spam the network, not "1337 hax0r skills".

You should probably read a bit more before posting this in the tech section.

I'm having no issues with I add a 0.0002 BTC fee to my transactions, took about half an hour to confirm earlier today.
Can't really complain about that, plus I was under the impression that these kind of stress tests are actually good for the network.

Sorry about that. I do not know a lot about Bitcoin. I will read more articles and posts some more before posting in this section again.

agree 100%. Awareness is up and with that comes increased usage, everything needs to be done to keep with with this growth.

I love Bitcoin

This really wasn't anything more than a lot of transactions hitting the network all at once. Lots of purchases? People panic-dumping their coin? Maybe. But from my end, it seems like things have pretty much smoothed out or at least the last few payments I received are from Bitcoin users who are smart enough to include a decent transactions fee.

This much money might come from big mining pools. Maybe someone is not happy about the core development that did not raise the block size?
