Bitcoin will never be replaced by an altcoin. Bitcoin have a huge advantage over newer altcoins and almost everyone who finds out about cryptocurrency only really knows about bitcoin. For sure bitcoin is more widely used then Beth, ltc or any other alt.

None. Lol. I guess if one month someone ask what would be a chance of eth being at $700m of market cap, you would also say None.

Ehhh, I would definitely not say never. If ETH proves to be popular--which it has been up to now--it certainly could make a run for it. Stranger things have happened, and this is the wacky world of crypto. Still, if it's going to be ETH then there's still a long way to go.

If ether rises 1000% again its bigger than bitcoin market cap. Ripple actually had a larger market cap than bitcoin in like 2012 for a brief period of time, though Ripple's market cap was debatably fake.

It's quite possible ETH could bypass the market cap. It would also become clear that market cap is a shite metric because that could happen without any real users or actual use cases at present. It's well over 10% now. Does it have 10% of the users or utility? Hell no.

it's not about the marketcap only, bitcoin is actually accepted in most store, ethereum never will be like any other alt, because they do not offer anything, when we talk about acceptance you need a very long time before you get accepted everywhere like bitcoin, why suddely ethereum should be accepted everywhere? i can not see it

If it happened so far it's looking like ETH would be the challenger.

There is no chance at all the millions of marketcap is to huge to close the gap and Bitcoin is now on a wide spread adoption if a new altcoin emerge it is because of Bitcoin success without it no altcoin will emerge

no. etherium can be a challenger but they will fail because without bitcoin there will no cryptocurrencies or altcoins. bitcoin keeps altcoins alive and bitcoin is accepted in some countries and in the world wide web as a currency. nothing will ever surpass bitcoin.

Bitcoin will still be the gold or the reserve currency in the crypto currency world. Ethereum will still be a altcoin.

^^^ well just to disclose currently I do hold Monero. I don't really get what people see in eth it just seems like another altcoin, if someone could explain this to me I would be much more understanding. As far as Monero goes i'm very happy to have bought it when I did and think are bull trend is just starting up. It does have improved privacy feature to bitcoin, but I really doubt it or any others will be replacing bitcoin any time soon.

All the other altcoins are a long way to go before they can reach what bitcoin have reach in just a short period of time \,I don't say it will need a miracle but it will need hard work and wide adoption to do that ,so goodluck..

Don't forget the power of being first to the market.
Some (or a lot) people might have some knowledge of bitcoin.
Almost no one has ever heard of altcoins.
