If the bitcoin price drops to $250 and stays there for more than a week, it means bitcoin is a failure.

That will not happen and that is because there are a lot of people that is waiting for a higher value.

The cost of mining for many low cost miners are around $250. I think the price will not drop below that level.

no price won't fall to 250$ anytime soon as people still buys and uses bitcoins each day, even more and more people are interested in bitcoins so they buy them and price rises

also if price would fall to 250$ one day, it would mean that bitcoin will die soon as price wouldn't stop at 250$, it would fall more then as people would sell all their bitcoins

i agree with you, whatever will happen right now does not matter because the future will be better and the prices will be definitely higher thus allowing all of us to make some good money

The future is brihgt and in time we will see the price getting higher and higher. Off course there is no such thing as a guaranteed profit, but I believe bitcoin hasn't reach even 10% of it's potential Which means we are in for a nice but bumpy ride.

At 450 bitcoin mining is still very profitable so yes there is still a possibly that the price will fall. Although i don't expect that to happen on the short term.

At 450 bitcoin mining is still very profitable so yes there is still a possibly that the price will fall. Although i don't expect that to happen on the short term.

Certain miners will leave if the price is indeed dropping with blocks just containing 12.5 BTC in rewards.

The result of certain miners shutting down their mining equipment will be that the difficulty starts dropping.

I expect a significant dump to happen perhaps a day or two before the block halving, or for sure after the block halving. Once the block halving has taken place there is nothing more that people can grab to hold on to. Right now it's all block halving what we see and hear. Within 2 months it's over.
