BITBAY! An altcoins with actual tech behind them rather than hype. Well Bitbay has just created  the first ever working decentralised market and is in the process of getting pegged to the dollar. Bitbays led dev is David Zimbeck - the guy who created 'Halo' and 'Night-trader' for Blackcoin. He's behind Bitbay and works on it full-time! We believe it will be added to Poloniex shortly we predict due to the magnitude of development work and they have asked for more information on the pegging.

I think Bitbay has huge potential too.  We really need a decentralized market and if they succeed it could be big.  Way undervalued right now.

I notice LISK coming up a lot here.  I am going to have to research it.  Any short answers about how to get some?

I love Bitcoin

I think it will be the coin that is best at attracting people that were not in crypto before: https://www.reddit.com/r/Futurology/comments/4b4drk/a_currency_minted_by_doing_science/

If the coin already exists, it is already not the next Ethereum. The next Ethereum will have to have similar hype pre-launch as this Ethereum does.
ok. then most likely IOTA or LISK.
and the next next Ethereum will be WAVES Smiley

I guess I can not determine a coin that will be the next etherium, so many coins that are difficult in the analysis of the rate of decline and the rise in the price, but probably will soon appear successor etherium

the XCP dev's spot to a reporter and it was leaked out that they plan to push out Ethereum on BTC mainnet later this year.

So whether it is rootstock or XCP, there will be a few choices for using Ethereum smart contracts with BTC.

Btw when the premature news came out XCP went 3X within 15 minutes, then back down as the developers came out saying that the reporter shouldn't have put out the news as they still need to do more testing before they release it for BTC mainnet.

Agree I think both Rootstock and XCP have their own key advantages and disadvantages. At the moment XCP is further along than rootstock as the sidechain concept hasn't been fully fleshed out yet, much less production ready. A few major problem with Rootstock is that miners can effectively attack the chain for free, that 2 way decentralized pegs don't exist in any form of manturity at this time, and perhaps the biggest that rootstock corporation takes 20% of every contract execution cost and pockets it, despite calling it a 1:1 bitcoin peg. (as opposed to debiting the gas costs in xcp and removing it from supply, which benefits each and every holder of XCP rather than a centralized entity.)

Quote
"As a result, every time a person or a corporation runs a smart contract on RSK, 80% of the fuel paid goes to the miners and the remaining 20% to RSK Labs, so we can continue the development of the open source platform."

I think XCP has long declined in value as the news of smart contracts have gone full circle from being priced in and hyped up then priced back out as expectations have been invalidated with a slow release. Things have gone downhill then chugged along sideways for a long tine. The brief rise in price was only punctured by tempered moods as it was revealed the news was leaked a prematurely. Otherwise it would of stayed up there.

See the following quote by Vitalik

Quote
"My personal opinion is that XCP-style meta-consensus systems are the next generation from here, at least as far as Bitcoin-based protocols are concerned". -- Vitalik Buterin, Ethereum lead dev

Quote
"So, Counterparty sucks because it is too powerful?
I was involved in the colored coins project for a few months before I moved to my position that XCP-style systems are strictly superior to CC in basically every possible way (and moved to Ethereum full-time, but I will say that Ethereum is not superior to CC in every possible way because it is not directly based on Bitcoin so doesn't have as nice interoperability properties" -- Vitalik Buterin, Ethereum lead dev

Quote
Our compatibility with Ethereum smart contracts is at the virtual machine level, so it doesn't matter what language (Serpent, Solidity, LLL, etc.), you write the contracts in---they'll run on both Counterparty and Ethereum the same. Between the Counterparty and the Ethereum communities, we'll figure out what languages we want to write contracts in and develop those. -- Adam Krellenstein, Counterparty lead dev

I expect as the code actually hits mainnet and we begin to see ported smart contracts on the bitcoin blockchain, when XCP starts becoming debited for as along with token issuance we'll start to benefit from the emerging DaPP ecosystem. With a tiny market cap and scarce total supply I think it's a good recipe for some positive price action and there was already a small taste of things to come.  CounterParty was the original project to implement ethereum VM and perhaps the most well known and it's not going anywhere.

I would vote for Rimbit as well it has been around for two years and holds lots of promise. Not a pump and dump. https://c-cex.com/?p=rbt-btc

I think LISK might surprise some in how quickly it will grow as it uses Javascript to do the programming. That means lots of programmers can jump in from the get go.
I like Monero for anonymous transactions (and as a store of value). I'm hedged with Dash but I don't think Dash has any where nears the security level and that is dangerous.

I think one that might sneak up on people, as this space is a baby, is Hyper. It is a gaming coin. The gaming market is huge and having a coin available to gamers is probably going to go places over time.

Many mini black swans on the way fellas. And since they are extremely difficult to spot, spread your risk...

Its about sharing

BTC = Black Swan.

@Corepolitics

yea i think that 20% to the corporation is stupid and many people won't like that since it goes into the pockets of a handful of investors that got the privilege to invest.  the rest of us are SOL.

i like the xcp model as you point out because anyone who holds the coin benefits from more use.  So if I go tell a friend "hey you should develop this using BTC/XCP" and he makes something, then I can benefit from that along with all the other people in the community.  Rootstock on the other hand will need to hire their own sales people.

I'm actually trying to find some contacts at Wizards of the Coast to show them Spells of Genesis.

i doubt if anything can be as big as ethereum for a long time because those behind ethereum had a lot of money to throw at it in order to make it popular, and there were (still is) a lot of manpower behind spamvertising it all over the internet.

None, The both won't. The ethereum still with the crown, I'm not ETH fan but in my speculation ETH will be the second crypto.
KTEFFH = Keep The Ethereum Flag Flying High.  Grin
May the both will be suitable for becoming the third or fourth coin below of ETH.
