The thread seems to have been deleted.

 re: reducing block size. Dropping it to 512k could help to contain transaction sizes, but you would have to decrease the block interval as well. I believe that there are some serious problems if the block interval is less than 56 seconds, and this could impact on the future growth of Bitcoin.
