Can we find out which online wallet a particular bitcoin address belongs to?I keep my coins at blockchain.info and some coins at Zebpay,Is it possible for someone to identify which address belongs to which of above wallet or any wallet?
No, unless that wallet marks their transaction.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

There is no way we can find it out unless if you have publicly made it known that you are using a certain wallet provider with that bitcoin address.😀

We are here to give you all the latest from the Cryptocurrency space!

You're asking a difficult question that can't be answered with a simple yes or no. Bitcoin is a publicly stored ledger; this means that all the transactions are traceable (a lot of people seem to forget this when they say that Bitcoin is truly anonymous; which it isn't). Now if you're asking whether somebody can determine if address X belongs to service Y, the answer is likely yes. Can somebody determine that the answer is owned by you (identity)? It's possible, but much harder. However, every-time your address directly or indirectly interacts with services on which you're registered on, you leave a bread crumb (a trail). For example, if you are registered somewhere with personal details (ID and such), that service most likely knows a lot of your other addresses (expert users could avoid this or at least make it much more difficult).

Is the IP address of the person sending a transaction publicly visible? I've noticed there are some ip addresses atached to transactions, but figured they must be from node or pool.

I think as per my knowledge IP address are publicly not visible if a person is sending that will be through the wallet address and wallet dont disclose the IP address. If i am wrong correct me.

With some effort, people/company/government can find out which IP relay that transaction.
But, since sender and many nodes broadcast transaction to bitcoin network, it's difficult to track specific person.

But, users who use centralized wallet or online wallet can be tracked easily.
There are allot of bitcoin wallets on the martket you just need to search for the right one because ther are allot of wallets that can scam you like fake wallets i dont think you want to use one of these.

Well, there are definitely several bitcoin wallets aailable to you right now. I suggest you use Blockchain.info if you are a newbie just starting out with a newbie, or perhaps even coinbase.

With coinbase, you don't control your own keys. But with blockchain.info you can.

This is a great wallet^ but i personally can recommend some place like circle.com, but that website is for debit card buying and selling BTC if you have a checking account which works out very well and I highly suggest you check it out

Good wallets are hard to find but Blockchain i think is the best.

A lot of reasons...(Not to use web wallets)..Below are a few which I could think of right now.
-Your coins are not stored in your actual wallet but a 3rd party wallet ,the chances of they having your private keys are 0-100.
-Since it only requires a password to hack into a web wallet, attacks of simple keyloggers or remote attacks by team viewer are more.
-Phishing Links.Another reason why you should avoid web wallets.Look around for Blockchain.info phishing links.
-No Custom access available. You cannot set your custom fees, you can't customize your transactions as you can probably do with Core/Electrum.

I agree with the last statement but with my web wallet I tend only to keep amounts below $100 & then just purchase more if I need to do a trade,
so I think in this case the risk is low especially with the longer established reputable webwallets. Also my webwallet has 2FA.

Nobody is forcing you to use web wallets. Actually it is not recommended to use one.
Please can you explain why this is the case.
I think it's up to you to choose the type of wallet you want. no one is going to make yourself. you can use online or desktop wallet wallet it depends on you dude

I dont think he's asking if you prefer a wallet or not he's just asking if you use a good wallet and what wallet you use so, you have to look at it in different perspectives and such. The wallet is just a place to keep your money.

Probably but preference in a wallet to me is not a big deal when it comes to just using the basics like blockchain.info because they're like the number 1 used wallet for the entire bitcoin community i dont see the point in using another wallet

Hope this info helps you guys out.

Yeah i think you have got the gist of it. As Bitcoin runs on a decentralised system it is in a publically stored Ledger (namely the Blockchain). Through this all transactions are traceable. Therefore in a sense it is possible to find certain Bitcoin wallets.  Smiley Smiley Smiley

We cannot find out from whom a bitcoin address belongs to. We do not have that technology yet. But there is one site that will allow you to determine who sent you the bitcoins. It is coins.ph, if both of you are usig the same wallet in that site you will see who is the person that sents you your bitcoins or from what email addrss it came from, hope this helps.

They are not all traceable i'd say mainly due to the fact that everyday they delete older transactions into the void and you will never see those transactions again, but if you still think that it's traceable you go ahead man.

Blockchain doesn't care if you send to one address then another then another... they dont have to keep track.

True blockchain doesnt HAVE to keep track but really you never know when they can pull up some file that they said has been "archived" when most of the files are actually just saved in a further database... You must be careful with what you do

little bitc hard to indentify wallet from bitcoin address,i only know some wallet use number 3 on first letter on bitcoin address, like spectrocoin wallet and bitmixer, but mainstream wallet use 1 on first letter of bitcoin addresses.

The online Bitcoin wallets use different addresses, and most have a different address for each connection.
I know that the wallet Xapo uses special addresses because sometimes when I go on a faucet and I put an address of Xapo, they tell me that it is not a Bitcoin address.
But I do not know if it is possible to identify the addresses of each online wallet.

Well I agree with you. Coins.ph is a good online bitcoin wallet. With it you can easily buy and sell your bitcoins and convert it to fiat anytime. It is better to use though when you live in Philippines.
yes I agree with you. I also used to coins.ph because it is easy to use compare to the other bitcoin wallet.😃

I personally have never used coins.ph but i do use Circle.com a shitload because they do instant bank transactions (unless it's selling) I really want to see about making money with circle as in doing trades constantly, circle allows me to use $500 weekly and i think that i could make around $600 if i do everything correctly.

USE circle.com!!! you wont regret it bro.

I recommend circle also because that's how i do my personal transactions with btc and since they're a bigger business they have no way to scam you under legal terms, it's easy quick and honest. I know this sounds like an advertisement for them but it really isn't they're just a good wallet because you can also send money to friend if they need it or if you're just wanting to be nice.
