Most community mods I've seen would have caved in to one side with all this bullshit going on so yeah, kudos to them, I've seen a lot of people claim they won't be effected by this sort of thing only to abandon the site awhile later and people like this piss me off because they think they're immune to anything happening to them so they try to abuse the crap out of the internet.

Yes, this may well be a scam, yes, you should warn people about it, but to resort to harassment and stalking which is essentially what this is? Pretty fucking low.

maybe you are not getting paid.  But I smell a rat.  Josh repeatedly is allowed to launch personal insults not just at me, but basically the entire forum, all customers asking questions, and of course all trolls.  I have been extremely careful not to engage in personal insults.  I stick to the facts, Josh launches insult after insult, and Gmaxwell tells me to cool it.

I'm not a trouble maker, and I think you know that.  I point out scams, and it draws heat.  I respond to the heat, especially borderline libelous personal attacks against me.

If you (gmaxwell, the mods at large) are going to censor a response of mine to a personal insult, then shouldn't you also censor the user throwing around the personal insults?

At least report those you deem as 'user throwing around the personal insults'. In other cases, it's usually your posts getting reported by people not related to you or BFL. I delete posts/split topics that go off topic, and frankly posts from you, Inaba, and etc are getting deleted/splitted indiscriminately if they're reported and deemed offtopic/derailing.

And yet he wonders why we don't consider any of his "investigative journalism" to be very credible. He simply makes things up. Micon, if you actually did real research everyone here would take you more seriously.

As for why some personal insults made by hardware makers aren't deleted, that's because we're often willing to keep those posts there as an example of why people shouldn't do business with them. We could care less about your response.

Of course, when their insults are excessive, they've already proven their point that they should be avoided at all costs, so that's when we'll start deleting their posts. Even worse, when that happens they risk getting banned from this forum. If you're a business, you don't want to mess with the moderators here.
