Yes. But it is not worth it. The electricity cost is much more than the Ethereum you get from the mining. So do not do it.

can it be done?
It's much better to go for faucets or buy directly from exchanges I am mining from cpu using minergate and it's not really profitable you really have to invest on mining rigs if you want to make money on mining

I am mining with a GPU, wanted to try and to up my reward from the same pool with a CPU. thx

Figured it out with ethminer and had to use hex edit
