Mine was dropped off just before I left for the morning.  Unfortunately it looks like my box took quite a hit in transit, luckily it's double boxed with lots of space in between filled with peanuts.



I unpacked everything and the miner and the pi seem to be undamaged, I will know for sure tonight when I set them up to test.  I have two questions:

1) Are there set up instructions anywhere for this unit?  I'm sure they're easy to find, I just haven't had time to search.

2) Could I buy one of those fans from you, Phil?

@ biffa  I am testing 1st unit

so far it looks to be passing.

  both usb cables
 the small dongle
the rasp pi
the four pin wire all work
i left in stock fan so rpms are higher
short time test I will do a long time test




unit works well  everything passed over 1 hour at freq 500 and fans set at 35

I just got mine. UPS did its usual job, no major damages to the shipping box, nothing got broken inside. After unboxing, I noticed somethings have changed since my last purchase. The dongle thingiemajigie is different, it's not as elongated, seems more solid, sturdier, the 4pin cable is shorter, a lot shorter but thicker and sturdier, the Raspberry Pi is encased in black not white. I can't see to find the ip address of the RPi, is this not dhcp?

Anyways, I love the Avalon 6, they're much better made than its competition. Bitmain S7 maybe a best selling but that doesn't make it a better miner, they're shoddily made. To me, Avalon 6 is a steak, Bitmain S7 is a McDonald hamburger, I mean that, in terms of build quality.

every rasp pi from this order found an ip  .  i used my router to locate them.

 the dongle is different. it is better built. like you said.

I searched for it with a mac  ip search program found it and called it up
see the first screen on the left.
just hit enter password is empty


then click advanced gui and up pops this

It is very well packed and has been fully tested.

this means from feb 19 to march 30  diff will be pretty flat   about a 162 avg.



If we go flat 1 more jump around march 30 to apr 12   maybe we do 53 days at 162 avg diff

Wow... I have a winner!  The Avalon 6 that arrived today easily hits 3980GH at 12.2V at the supply (only 12.1V in the UI).  I'm actually a little afraid of it being so far on the high side and I'm considering turning it down!

As for the next buy-- I'm going to pass.  I'm done buying hardware until the halving.  I'm probably overspent on hardware as it is.
