I have the same Problem. They locked the wiki, because of spambots. You can get unlocked by paining 0.005 BTC: https://de.bitcoin.it/wiki/Spezial:BitcoinPaymentVery annoying, I was running a little Raffle to give noobs their first BTC if the write a good article in the german wiki section, that is ended now. |
All previous versions of currency will no longer be supported as of this update

Paraipan, cuidado con el enlace en el que entras. Si pagas en el enlace que te han dado en la respuesta anteior bo podrás editar en.bitcoin.it/wiki, como tampoco podrás editar es.bitcoin.it/wiki Para los enlaces que has publicado tú debes usar https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Special:BitcoinPayment ya que llevan al subdominio "en." |

It's not 0.005, it is 0.05 BTC and again, check the subdomain! If it is not the same as the page you want to edit you'll see yourself locked anyway. |

As little as 5 bitcents is, I see no reason to pay to volunteer. The only sane reason to pay here would be if you are promoting a product—which is exactly what the wiki needs less of.

I have had write access before, now I suddenly don't have it anymore. I did NOT create Spam, the only thing I ever did in the wiki was to propose a bitcoin protocol extension (that has now finally been implemented, so it wansn't so stupid after all). My user name is "Prof7bit". Now I want to contribute a code snippet example in Python for creating and sending a signed request over the MtGox Socket.IO streaming API. Even with the existing php example it took me a while to get it working, there are also some more little details missing. I would like to be able add a few words to the MtGox API page.
I would like to donate knowledge to the public domain.
I would NOT like to pay money first to be allowed to donate my knowledge!
This is totally ridiculous. If a user is spamming, just delete his account, problem solved. Other websites can do it too.
