I know web wallets aren't great. I am not really a newbie, I own some Trezors and I hold physical coins too. I recently updated my wallet to the new Blockchain one, and I'm sad to say I am very disappointed. It's extremely buggy, so buggy to the point it was giving me wrong words for my back-up phrase.

Please do not recommend me: Coinbase, Blockchain, Multibit HD or Electrum. Honestly I don't care if it is a web-based wallet, or desktop, but I want recommendations to what you use and why you like it.

I run Windows, not Mac (sorry Mac users!)  Shocked

if you really looking for a web wallet other than coinbase, I would recommend bitgo. AFAIK, they are allowing you to back up you wallet and you've full control over your money.

I'm using electrum and multibit HD as my desktop wallet. Buffy you said don't recommend these wallets so leave it.

And finally what about mobile (Android) wallets? I'm using mycelium and blockchain and comfort with mycelium wallet.

To be honest with you, the wrong thing you did there, was to upgrade to new blockchain but if you didn't done that, you would have a smooth experience, btw you can't go back. As mentioned above me mycelium  is good option due to relatively ease of use and also Bitcoin Core could be a good option as well although lately there has been few issues.

Why you upgraded on the first place , Blockchain new wallet is on Beta phase at the moment and it's not finished yet .
I'd recommend using Bitcoin core (the latest version 0.12.0 should allow you to download 2gb instead of the whole blockchain) so sync with the network shouldn't be an issue anymore .
You could also check BlockTrail wallet (available for both phone and web) , It may be buggy little bit though ,not sure how often it's getting updated .

Disclaimer: You still need to download the entire blockchain, you just dont need to keep it anymore if you enabling pruning. Its probably what OmegaStarScream, just wanted to make sure that is understood correctly.

Im not really here, its just your imagination.

But choose long and random enough passphrase
That's extremely unsafe. Brainwallet requires the user to come up with a passphrase and most people wouldn't be able to come up with a long but safe one. This is worst when there is a method to crack brainwallet passphrase at a fast rate.[1] Brainwallet.org has been closed likely due to this.

I wanted to ask if anyone here has any experience with Web Wallets like: Green Address, CoinKite, Coinapult?
I saw them listed on Bitcoin.org and I have never encountered people who used these services.
Interesting fact: blockchain.info is not listed there. https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet

I follow quite a few web wallet threads and none of those seem to get much of a mention so it would be interesting to hear from any users.

As far as web wallets go it’s all blockchain.info (the posts rarely state whether they mean the upgrade or the legacy wallet) and Coinbase with a bit of Xapo thrown in.

I signed up to Coinkite and thought it looked pretty good but never got around to using it, its web wallet is closing down on April 11th anyway

The new Blockchain.info is buggy still, very true. I submitted a bug recently. I'm not happy that the new wallet (beta-wallet) is on by default for me, but in terms of UI design I think it's an improvement.

If you are asking personal experience then, i am using web wallet coinbase for my daily trading and sports betting , and for savings i am
using eletrum desktop wallet. and i am much satisfied with this two wallets. Balance i have blockchain and block.io wallets also but i dont use them mostly as coinbase is very fast and accurate in transaction.

I developed my own "in-browser" wallet https://multicoins.org
It opensource and allows: work with bitcoin and some forks, custom transaction fee, multiply send addresses.  All features: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1383872.0

I'd suggest the Copay chrome wallet Extension.

https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/copay/cnidaodnidkbaplmghlelgikaiejfhja?hl=en

It's HD, so you can use the same seed on an iPhone or Android.
