The hashrate drop is small on a month-to-month basis - really only noticable over the course of several months.
It seems to be directly proportional to DAG file size.

That is right. For the R9 390, the hash rate drop might be 0.1% each Dag change, but for the 7970, that is more than 0.5%.

So you have the ASIC for the Dash. I am mining the Ethereum at present. But the difficulty is rising week after week.

For the Etheruem mining, you need the AMD RX 470.480 or the nVidia 1070 to be profitable if your electrcity price is high.

That is right. The bitcoin is major currency for the every day usage.
The Ethereum is the fuel for the smart contract platform.

I think the price of the Ethereum will rise faster than the bitcoin. It has the back up of many rich people now.

I mine Ethereum. the price is quite high, so it is profitable. The volume is very large in BTC-e, so I can sell it easily.

I also mine the EThereum and sell for bitcoin. It seems the price is rising at the moment. So I keep the coins.

If you sold the Ethereum a few days  ago, it is excellent as the bitcoin price was low then. It is better to keep the coins now.

XMR and ETH are the best coins and the best coins to go ahead and mine with the best profit available at the moment.

Soon, ETH will be moving to PoS which means miners will be phased out and it won't be profitable anymore / will serve no purpose. Best bet would have to be to mine on cheap electric and keep going with profitable coins at that moment. Switch to BTC quick, cover whatever you buy and try to hit your ROI ASAP!

Ive been mining on XMR but the hash rate and difficulty has been skyrocketing and today the coin is becoming less profitable to mine than ETC and ETH.

I hope some of the miners back off and switch over to ethash so that the profit can become on par with the others.

The Ethereum mining difficulty has already risen. I think if the Monero or the Ethereum drops further, many miners will be not profitable.

How about Gulden, its market cap hit $1m dollars recently. I do not think its difficulty is high, might consider adding it to the list of coins to mine. Undecided

That is right. In order to be profitable, you have to buy the latest efficient miners. But these miners might not ROI.

I think if the money which flowed into Monero flows back to the Ethereum, the profit will increase even further.
