Late last week, Fitzpatrick filed to run for Oregon Governor in the Republican primary. He filed March 4, just four days before the deadline listing his occupation as "consultant."

But just as his donation to PSU never happened, Fitzpatrick's run for Governor seems also to have fizzled. The Oregon Secretary of State's office notified Fitzpatrick Monday that he was ineligible to run in the Republican primary because he has not been a registered member of the party for the requisite 180 days before the March 8 filing deadline.

The law requires that candidates be registered with their party no later than Sept. 10, 2015, said Robert Taylor, Deputy Secretary of State. Fitzpatrick was 176 days late, Taylor said.

Fitzpatrick said initially that he would sue Taylor's office in order to get his name on  the ballot.

That lawsuit would not gain much traction, unless there is a history of waving the 180 day requirement. Would have a hard time on the ballet explaining bitcoin as well.
Trump has quasi endorsed bitcoin, do not expect Hilary to even respond to a question about bitcion.
