Hello all, I'm selling the website www.bitcoingem.com. The gem is in a range now where I begin to feel uncomfortable. Some more iterations and we're talking about thousands of bitcoins – this is getting too hot for me. Anyone who recently was on the site knows what is going on right now, the price for the gem is about to explode and no one knows where it could go. The site is on halt right now but can be reactivated anytime. Anyone who's interested, please PM me. Minimum bet is 300 btc. This offering is valid for 2 hours (9 pm central european time), I will sell to the highest bidder. Should there be no selling I will close the site and refund the last 2 open payments. I can transfer the site to your webhost and get it up and running within one hour (PHP and MySQL and a decent server needed). Or better yet, you take over my account at firehost, which won't interrupt the site's service at all. If there's any questions, just let me know.

This is the part in the story where the OP "sells" the site to a sockpuppet. Mr. Puppet suddenly (maybe after a couple days/weeks to make it more "legit) vanishes with the site and coins. Obviously this isn't the fault of the OP. He no longer owns/operates the site and will be very upset that it happens but there is nothing he can do about it.

Someone should offer to buy it at the current gem price and refund the stupid guy locked in at the time.

My anger against what is wrong in the Bitcoin community is productive: Bitcointa.lk - Replace "Bitcointalk.org" with "Bitcointa.lk" in this url to see how this page looks like on a proper forum (Announcement Thread)Hashfast.org - Wiki for screwed customers

The price is a bit high for 300 BTC, it'll take a lot of iterations to make that back. I'd buy it for 100 BTC.

I hope he sells to an African Shaman Billionaire who collects teddy bears with which to entice starving children to join his ever growing hacker army.

Oh, btw, in case you're wondering, maxmints avatar is "Räuber Hotzenplotz" from the German Hotzenplotz children storys. Hotzenplotz is of course a shrewd and clever robber.
So, yeah, you're being "pirated" again.

300 BTC? No way this scheme can be that profitable (unless the "buyer" runs away with the last 2 idiots money).

Did anybody think that there would be people paying 126 bitcoins for the gem? 300 bitcoins profit for the site owner are 19 rounds away. 75 rounds already done. 300 BTC? No way this scheme can be that profitable (unless the "buyer" runs away with the last 2 idiots money).

I put a lot of thought into this viable solution: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=139532.0
