Let's look at track record. On Feb 10 you made pretty much the same post asking whether it would exceed $1 billion this year. Took a month.

So obviously ETH will surpass BTC in market cap within 3 months.

Would like to here your thoughts on this.

How about in 3 weeks? lol

What we're all witnessing here is a competition with hundreds of strong and competent contestants. Bitcoin is near death. Satoshi Nakamoto handed over the reins to Gavin who choked like hell. He turned the git keys over, whimpered away to MIT, and now bitcoin Core is fully controlled by hostile influences.

Let's get serious and complete the unfinished work of Nakamoto. As human beings, we have a responsibility to get this right. Let's all make a currency immune to corporate co-opting, subversion, and centralized control. Let's all work together to make money the way Satoshi intended.

Will ETH surpass Bitcoin marketcap in 3 years? I'm not even sure that Bitcoin will survive that long.

i am not sure about anything involving ETH anymore Smiley

it has been getting hyped over and over again. every crypto related online place you look, you can see ETH being hyped. so i guess it is possible

i am sure of one thing though, there are big whales behind ETH who are pumping it to get the maximum amount of money out of it. i just hope i can pull out before getting burnt.

that is naive to think, going from a ridiculous value to 0.03 it's still possible, but surpassing the king not so much, and why ethereum should surpass bitcoin, because of p&d? there is no usage for it
i can see ethereum as a strong second currency and that's it, also the name is not very catchy like litecoin for example

IF. Momentum still holds, you need only a factor of 6 pumping this up.

I mean this sincerely, who are these hundreds of strong and competent competitors you speak of? Are you talking of general market participants? Because if so I would question whether they are so competent. Mobs rarely are.

Exactly how I feel, I am not sure of anything about it but very interesting to watch.  It has major momentum and there may be some announcements this week about it.  I had some around the high $2 range and sold.  yikes.

I love Bitcoin

Ethereum is possible to be the next bitcoin but that is only possible because of the fact that bitcoin may demise in the near future you may observe the fact that bitcoin has an increasing function from a price of 16000 USD to the price of 8000 USD in the past few months a decrease in 50% of the price says the fact that it is not able to handle such large network of daily trade.

I picked "No" in the poll sections because Bitcoin is generating a lot of money. Ethereum could fail if people used Bitcoin instead of Ethereum for the initial coin sales.
